NOTICE OF RACE
DATE AND PLACE:
Competition in two part (one in the spring, one in the autumn).
I part:
May 22 – 23 .(with backup date May 24).
Place: Ķīšezers, Burusports center of Windsurfing, Riga, Annas Sakses 19 A
II part:
September 26 – 27. ( with backup date September 28)

RULES:
Competitions are governed by:
- Competition Rules of sailing
- 2009/2012 ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing – Windsurfing Competition Rules (WRC)
- IFWC Class Rules& Championship rules
- “Race board Rules”
- “Fun board Rules”
- Windsurfing Latvian Cup 2009 regulations
with the option of additional regulations and changes that are written into the Instructions of Competition. Competition instructions will be posted on the official notice board of the competition and all instructions will be announced during the windsurfers’ meeting and not later than 30 min before the start of the next race.
START GROUPS:
The competition will be organized and the participants will be evaluated in four separate groups with two separate start for each race – first group Formula or Slalom, second group Raceboard, Techno 293 and– Silver group with any type of boards.
- Formula – in accordance with ISAF Sailing and FWR rules
- Raceboard – in accordance with ISAF Sailing rules
- Techo 293 – in accordance with Techno 293 class rules 2008
- Slalom – in accordance with Funboard and ISAF Sailing rules. The competition will take place depending on weather conditions

AGE GROUPS:
- Techno 293
Juniors (J) younger than 15 years (girls and boys)
Youth (Y) younger than 17 years (girls and boys)
Open (O) all age groups int. al. adult (girls and boys)
- Formula windsurfing
Youth (Y) younger than 20 years
Adult (M)
Seniors (G) men of 40 and older
- Slalom
Youth (Y) younger than 20 years
Adult (M)
Seniors (G) men of 40 and older
- Raceboard
Youth (Y) younger than 20 years
Adult (M)
Grand seniors (GG) men of 50 and older
The minimum age limit of the participant must be not later than December 31, 2006
EVALUATION
- Evaluation is according to Low point system
- Competition is regarded as having place if at least one race has happened
- In Formula and Raceboard one worst result from a total of four races and two results from a total of seven are dismissed. In slalom one worst from a total of three and worst from a total of five races are dismissed.
AWARDS GIVING:
Formula , Techno 293 and Raceboard class – best three results – according to age backed.
Slalom – separate test, three best results- according to age backed .
Group means if at least five participants have applied and have raced.
AWARDS:
Diplomas and presents from BURUSPORTS, BS Street and Oxbow shops, and other supporters.
NUMBER ON SAILS:
Participant must have sail numbers according to IFCA WRC Rules. The number must be well visible and easily readable from both sides. Registration and dispensation of numbers LVA, info@windsurfinglatvia.lv

20 LVL
10 LVL – for members of Latvian Windsurfing Association
3 LVL – for juniors and youth
